Best Center Drive Elliptical Machines of 2024
Center drive elliptical trainers are the newest, so not as much is known about this design in the way of durability and maintenance. Center drive means that the fly wheel, or drive system, is located on either side of the trainer rather than the front or back. This design allows for a more compact design, ideal for in-home use in smaller spaces. It is the most expensive, but is also known to be very quiet, smooth, and easy on the low back and joints. Because the weight of the user is the most centered than all other types, many find this trainer to mimic the motion of walking or jogging but without the awkward, up-right feel many people experience with the rear drive ellipticals.
